IMEI 2
IMEI 2 is the secondary 15-digit hardware identifier found on modern Dual SIM Dual Standby (DSDS) smartphones, typically allocated to handle digital eSIM profiles or a second physical tray. It shares the same core identity and Type Allocation Code as IMEI 1 but manages a separate network connection.
When activating a new eSIM plan, network operators usually require the user to input IMEI 2 alongside the embedded chip's EID number. IMEI 2 acts as the designated digital bridge, executing the actual transmission of the virtual profile from the secure chip to the cellular tower.
