Mobile Device Management (MDM) is an enterprise protocol that allows corporations and schools to remotely wipe, lock, and manage their fleet of hardware devices.
Scammers on the secondary market frequently use bypass software to temporarily hide MDM profiles on stolen corporate phones. If you purchase one of these devices, the moment you update the operating system or perform a factory reset, it will connect to Apple Business Manager, download the restriction profile, and permanently lock you out.
